On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organized the 14th International Conference on Asian Economic Development (AED2025) at the Lifelong Learning for Well-being Auditorium. The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Winita Punyodom, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, with the conference report delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Osathanunku, Dean of the Faculty of Economics.
The purpose of the conference was to provide a platform for presenting academic works and research in the field of economic development and related disciplines. It also aimed to create opportunities for faculty members, researchers, staff, students, and the general public to exchange knowledge and experiences with international experts. The main theme of this year’s conference was “New Structural Changes on Asian Economic Development.”

On September 11, 2024, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, hosted the 13th International Conference on Asian Economic Development (AED2024). The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Pairat Kanjanakaroon, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, and took place at the Happy Lifelong Learning Conference Room.
The conference served as a premier platform for presenting academic and research papers on economic development and related disciplines. It provided a valuable opportunity for faculty members, researchers, staff, students, and the general public to engage and exchange knowledge with international experts in the field. This year, the conference was driven by the central theme: “Sustainability of Asian Economy under Global Conflicts.”
